About Perry State Park

Perry State Park covers two areas totaling 1,250 acres and is well located on the west side of Lake Perry, south of the town of Perry and north of Interstate 80.

Showers and toilets are conveniently located within the campers, as well as access to showers, toilets and toilets for park staff and visitors.

During the day and in the afternoon, the park offers seven picnic huts, three of which are available by appointment. The swamp in Perry Wildlife Area offers early hunting for migratory birds, and the deep-water area offers late-season mallards and scuba ducks. Water is pumped from the area's 10 swamps to ensure adequate water levels and draught - the water features late season mallard and scuba ducks. Parking areas offer beaches and beach houses suitable for summer fun - day and afternoon.

Perry Reservoir is best known for its deep-sea fishing and water quality. The best place to fish for cappie is the deep water of the lake at a depth of 1,000 feet or more, and the best area for canal catfish is near the coast in the Perry Wildlife Area, north of Perry State Park. The sturgeon and the common breeds in this area are small to medium sized, but there are some good areas for canals and catfish.

Take Highway 75 into South Topeka, turn north at the intersection with 237 and turn south onto West Lake Rd. The park office is on the right hand side of the road and you will drive about two miles to Perry State Park. Walk about 7 miles to Perry Wildlife Area, about 1 km south of Perry Reservoir.

The parking office is on the left side of the road and you walk about 3 km to the parking office. The parking offices will be on the right, about 1 km south of Perry Reservoir, and the parking lot on West Lake Rd.
