About Martinak State Park
George Martinak transferred land, forests, fields and swamps from the state to the land of forests and swamps in the late 19th century as part of his land and swamp transfer program.
The area, bordered by the Choptank River and Watts Creek, is home to a wide variety of plants and animals. Fishermen catch perch, perch, sunfish and catfish, as well as fish for trout and other fish species.
The park is located on the RT and offers a variety of activities such as hiking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, kayaking, camping, hiking and fishing.
