About Burt Lake State Park

Burt Lake State Park is located on the west side of Burt's Lake, about 30 miles east of Vancouver, British Columbia. The park covers about 400 hectares and includes campsites for residents of the area, as well as a picnic area and water park. The campsites are closed from November to April, the park is open from June to October.

A one kilometer long hiking trail is signposted from the park, as well as The Burt's Lake Trail, a 1.5 km hiking trail, and a 2.4 km hiking trail from a picnic area.

Cross-country skiing trails are not groomed and bicycles, horses and motorized vehicles are not allowed along the way.

Burt Lake is located on the shores of Crooked Lake, a navigable river and lake that stretches 38 miles from Lake Huron to Crookes Lake. Burt Lake is a popular destination for boating, fishing along the coast and camping at the park's campgrounds.

Bicycles, horses and motorized vehicles are not allowed on this route, but the park is open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island are just a few miles north of Burnt Lake State Park, and there are many golf courses and restaurants nearby. The largest cross-forest in the world is located in the park and nearby is the Bebe Golf Course, the largest golf course in Michigan and one of the most popular in North America.

The park is located about one mile south of Mackinac Island on the M-68 left-hand turn lane of Michigan State Highway 75. Take Exit 310 from 75 and exit off M / 68 and head south on I-75 to the Burnt Lake State Park exit.
