About White Lake State Park
The best swimming in the White Mountain region is in White Lake State Park, a state park in New Hampshire. The park is located on the western edge of the Great Lakes National Park System and is an example of a typical glacial lake.
During the Ice Age, the glacier ice was buried under glacial dents and debris, and as the ice melted, depressions formed that gradually filled with water.
