About Lake Sakakawea State Park
Lake Sakakawea State Park is one of the largest and most popular parks in the U.S., with a population of about 2,000 people, according to the website of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Garrison. The park has a full service marina, including a boat ramp, picnic area and a large parking lot with parking for vehicles.
Two large boat ramps provide access to Lake Sakakawea State Park and a small boat ramp at the west end of the park.
The park also has modern camping and picnic facilities and has a large picnic area with picnic tables, picnic benches and a picnic table. The park is one of the largest state parks in the state of New York with a total area of 1.5 hectares.
