About Oswald West State Park
The hard everyday life is over when your feet hit the sand and you get out of the vehicle and go to the beach. Although the footpath is short, it offers a great view of Cape Falcon overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I was moved to be truly inspired by the natural beauty of this place and am glad to have got out of the vehicle.
Make sure to take a map with you when you enter the park and follow one of the paths to the winding path to Short Sands Creek. This path gives way to spectacular views of the sea and the creek and follows the same path as the main path from the beach to Cape Falcon.
It is a great place to go hiking, camping, picnicking, fishing or just enjoy a nice day on the beach with friends and family.
Popular with windsurfers and boogie-boarders, the beach is located in a bay that offers a feeling of complete privacy. It is bordered by a narrow strip of sand and a small stream with a sandy beach on both sides.
Surrounded by mountains, Oswald West beach gives the feeling of being away from the trials of everyday life. Oswald West State Park is located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, just a few miles south of downtown San Jose.
