About Bald Peak State Park
Bald Peak (1,629 meters) is one of the most popular hiking and camping destinations in Oregon, and you will find it in Newberg. Restaurants, shops, nightlife and a fast pace abound in nearby Hillsboro, but it is also home to some of the finest views of Mt. Hood.
Take a relaxing scenic drive through the Chehalem Hills between Hillsboro and Newberg and enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-capped cascades and peaks of Mt. Hood. Afterwards, you can take a short walk in the Douglas fir forest and realize that there is no drinking water in the park.
