The second largest camp in the state is located on a two-kilometre sand dune in the park, two kilometres from the sea. Within the parks there are two natural freshwater lakes, one on the shore and the other on the edge of the dunes, with a total of four lakes.

For water sports, guests can use Woahink's Lake, which has a public boat ramp, or rent a canoe and explore the lake. The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is accessible from the east side of the dunes via a two-kilometer drive from the park's main entrance. Cleawox Bay, the state's second largest freshwater lake, is ideal for swimming and boating and canoeing.

Spring brings pink rhododendrons, and autumn herbs, berries and blackberries are ripe for harvesting. In summer, the outdoor amphitheater with its beautiful Oregon River views is a great place for family celebrations.

In winter, off-road vehicles can access the sand dunes from the H-loop and camp during the camping season.
