Tugman State Park is one of the largest and most popular national parks in North Carolina and is located on Eel Lake Lakeside. It offers electricity and water connections hidden under a mature pine tree population. The day-use area has all kinds of shelters surrounded by wide green meadows and there is space for large and small groups to have fun.

The path at the southern end of the lake allows hikers to escape the developed area of this park and explore the many bays of the lake. Take the opportunity to walk along the shores of Eel Lake Lakeside, the largest lake in Tugman State Park. The waters of Lake Aal are a great place for kayaking, canoeing, hiking and other outdoor activities.

Tugman is in a great location for visitors who want to explore the Oregon coast from Reedsport to Coos Bay. The famous Oregon Dunes recreation area is less than a mile away and is one of the most popular recreation areas in the state.

The lake is full of fishing opportunities, and the bush-lined shore of the lake is a great place for kayaking, canoeing, fishing or kayaking.

Kos (including those under 15 inches) must be released, and other fish species include manned rainbow trout. The lake has an average depth of 1.8 meters and a maximum length of 6 feet, 2 inches.

Trout and perch are often caught from the jetty, and bees, trout, perch, redfish, whitefish and other fish species can also be caught on the beach.
