The Chinook Indian tribes of Columbia Gorge laid themselves on an open stake and marked the spot where a local pioneer named Victor Trevitt wanted to bury himself as an honorable man. Today, Memaloose State Park is home to more than 1,000 acres of natural beauty and scenic beauty.
