About Ravensburg State Park

The park is set in a cozy, steep, walled canyon carved by Rauchtown, and the pretty valleys are particularly beautiful. Northern deciduous forests cover the lowlands with springs - fed streams interspersed with stunted oak forests that grow along steep slopes and ridges. The valley - the covered slopes of the valley are interspersed with an oak forest that grows on the steeper slopes above and below the ridge.

Almost the entire Ravensburger Staatspark is surrounded by state forest, which is surrounded by hunting, fishing and game watching.

The park is named after the Ravensburger Staatspark, a raven that lived in the area of the Staatspark in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Ravens can still be different from crows because they are taller than them and have a deep, groaning reputation, like ravens.

Ravensburg Forest District has changed little in the last 100 years and due to the steep, rocky terrain and the isolation of the area, it is unlikely that large-scale logging has ever taken place.

The Civil Protection (CCC) has created the park and the Ravensburg State Forest, and the forest and campgrounds are open to all. The structures made of coarsely sawn and stained wood still give the Ravensberg Landscape Park a pleasantly rustic character. At the beginning of the 20th century, C CC Camp S-127 was built on the site of a former military camp in the same area of the Forest District.

There are three picnic areas, each with 21 seats with picnic tables and a fireplace. Most picnic tables are shaded, but they are shaded and there is a small fireplace in the middle.

The four picnic pavilions can be reserved for $11 per month for a prepayment, or $15 per day for a base that is served first. The unreserved picnic pavilion is the largest of the three picnic areas with 21 seats with fireplace and picnic table.

Ravensburger State Park is located on the eastern edge of the state park system, north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Raven Trail runs almost parallel to the Rauchtown Run in the park, and several other routes offer long distances, including the popular Raven Trail, Raven Creek Trail and River Trail. For comfort and safety, proper clothing and good physical condition are recommended.
