About Wallace Falls State Park

The park is located on the west side of the Cascade Mountains and has fast-flowing rivers and streams. It is also home to Wallace Falls State Park, the largest of its kind in the United States.

The landscape is excellent, with a variety of trees and shrubs as well as a large number of waterfalls. Peregrine falcons populate the cliffs of Indetown Wall and several pumas have been spotted at Wallace Falls.

Wallace Falls fall at an altitude of 265 feet and offer spectacular panoramic views, and access to the beach is located 5 km east of Big Eddy. The park offers a variety of hiking trails, climbing walls and a number of waterfalls, such as Indetown Wall and Wallace Falls.

From 8 a.m. to sunset, the park is open to the public from Monday to Friday, and from 9 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays.

Traces of logging can be seen throughout the park, including the remains of an old timber warehouse and the site of a former mining camp. The lake, waterfall and mountain are named after Kwayaylsh Wallace, and a historic lookout is located in Pilchuck. Wallace Falls is a waterfall on an eroded rock at the foot of Wallace Mountain, about 1,500 feet above sea level.

Most services are available a few miles from the park and it acts like a pop-up bottled water dispenser, with a fountain, picnic tables, picnic table and picnic area.

The campsite is located 20 - 50 feet from the parking lot and serves as the first, but the park has two walkways between the campsites and toilets. The pitch is very private, with picnic table and campfire ring, and it has a two lane footpath between it and the toilets, as well as a small picnic area.

Check-in is 14: 30, check-out is 13: 00, quiet times are 22 - 00 and 06 - 30, but the length of your stay will be extended if you stay longer. A motor-driven electric generator can operate for up to 12 hours at a time, with a maximum power of 2,500 watts. There is a 2.5 mile trail that can be walked in and out of the Skykomish River and a 1.2 mile walk between the campgrounds and the river.

The picnic table is served first, and the picnic ring and the fireplace at the entrance to the park are served first. The picnic tables are served. First-time visitors have a meal, the fire at least once a day from 11: 00 to 16: 30. and from 4 - 6: 45p the same day.

On summer days the park is extremely crowded, and on weekends the parking lots are usually already filled at 11 am. At weekends, the car park usually fills up at 11: 00 and in the summer months at 16: 30.

Fishing, rafting, kayaking, canoeing and swimming are popular, and experienced hikers and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of mountaineering and winter activities. Climbing is possible in autumn, but in the winter months, due to the heavy snowfall, climbing is not possible.
Located about 2 miles northeast of Gold Bar, it is one of the most popular hiking and biking trails in North America.

Once in Gold Bar, follow the sign northeast of the park, take the US Highway west and follow it through the city and northeast into the parks. From the east side of the Gold Bar, you can arrive in Silver Lake and follow the signs that lead to the GoldBar and then west to Wallace Falls State Park.
