About Mount Spokane State Park

Mount Spokane State Park is the largest national park in the United States and the second largest in Canada. The forest within the park consists of old trees, tree trunks, granite and rocks and in winter lies 300 cm of snow. Mount Spokane and its surrounding states and Canada and the Great Lakes Region in the USA.

On a beautiful day, the summit of Mount Spokane offers spectacular views of Washington, Idaho and Montana with views to the east, west, north, south, east and west of the park.

A parking permit is required from 1 November to 1 May, and a parking permit is required on weekends and public holidays. The park is rich in winter sports and night skiing is possible on the top of Mount Spokane, illuminated by the lights of the Spokane State Park Ski Area and Mt. Spokane Visitor Center. Parking and access to the park from the parking lot on the east side of Mt Spokane requires a permit.

The campsites close on September 17 and reopen on May 16. Please call the Park Call for specific seasonal information. The campsites are open from September to May every first Sunday of the month and close on September 16th.

Mount Spokane is the southernmost peak of the Selkirk range and the park has granite deposits. The mountain was formerly called Mount Carlton or Mount Baldy due to its proximity to the Columbia River and its high altitude.

The first development was carried out by the Civil Protection Corps and the road was built in 1912 by Francis H. Cook. The area was the first state park east of the Cascades and has been a popular ski resort since the 1950s.

Since then, the area has been devastated by fire and development, but it still houses some of the state's finest views. The Indian word, which most experts believe means "sun," comes from the name Mount Spokane State Park, Mount Spoke, in Washington state.

Most services are available within 20 miles of the park and most of them are open to the public, with a few exceptions such as hiking, biking, fishing, camping and fishing.

The trails are prepared seven days a week from 10 pm to 10 am and open to the public from 8 am to 5 pm. The park has water flushing facilities, toilets, showers and toilets for campers, as well as toilets and showers.

The park offers group camps for up to 100 people, but the maximum length of each place is limited to 30 feet, possibly due to limited availability. Safe toilets are available in the park, as well as in a number of other areas of Mount Spokane State Park, such as the parking lot.

The park has well-groomed cross-country trails, which can be used in spring, summer and autumn for cross-country skiing on snow. The park is also well behaved in winter, with plenty of snow for snowshoeing, snowmobiling and snowboarding on the snow and a variety of trails for skiing and skiing.

Alpine night skiing is allowed in the park as long as there is at least two hours of light on the unlit cross-country trails. In winter, all cross-country ski trails are open to the public from midnight to 6 a.m., and bees are kept on both the north and south sides of Mount Spokane State Park.
