Joseph Whidbey State Park is one of the best state parks in Washington state and a great place to hike and camp. The scenery is beautiful, the views are great, the wildlife is everywhere and the beaches are one of the largest on Whidsbey Island.

This wooded park in Puget Sound offers a variety of hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and other activities for all ages and abilities.

The other islands and features of the park are named after the expedition from Vancouver in 1792, and the island was circumnavigated by Master Joseph Whidbey. Vancouver named this island after him and all its particularities after his expedition.

There is no primitive camping fee, but the campsites are available on the basis of the First - come, first - service. Oak Harbor is located two miles from the park and offers most services, and there is a waterway to the campsite for campers entering the park by human or watercraft. During the day there are waterways and campsites in the area, as well as a picnic area and a water park.

Most non-motorized activities are available, and all toilets are ADA compliant and ADAbe toilets are available in the park.

Joseph Whidbey State Park, a 2.5 million-square-foot state park, is located three miles west of Oak Harbor.

Take the highway from north to north, follow Swantown Rd, turn left onto the north side of the road and take it north.
