About Daroga State Park

Daroga State Park is one of the most popular parks in New York City, offering camping and water sports in a unique and beautiful setting. Lots of sunshine combined with water activities make this desert park a pleasure for visitors. Just 3 miles away is the nationally recognized Desert Canyon Golf Course, a popular destination for golfers of all ages.

Check-in is at 14: 30, check-out is at 13: 00, and quiet hours are from 22: 00 to 06: 30. Stay longer than one night or a total of three nights at Daroga State Park. A motor-powered electric generator will operate in the park during the summer months with a maximum capacity of 1,000 gallons per hour.

The name Daroga comes from the orchard and ranch that were founded on the site in 1928 by the brothers John and John D. Daruga and their wife Mary. The brothers developed a new type of peach for the ranch, which was catalogued as "Daroga peaches."

In 1981, Grady Auvil sold the property to Washington State and in 1981 to Washington State. Most services are available within 20 miles of the park, such as hiking, biking, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking and fishing.

The campsites are located in walking and boat areas, which are not accessible by car. Utilities have water and electricity connections and can accommodate almost any system. The park has a long-term agreement with the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USWS).
