About Lincoln Rock State Park

Lincoln Rock State Park is named after a basalt promontory that resembles Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln Rock State Park in Washington State, USA, was named in 1864 in honor of Lincoln, the first President of the United States, and his wife Mary. It was born out of an attempt to build a dam for the Rocky Reach Dam, which blocks the Columbia River north of Wenatchee.

Surrounded by a dry environment, the park offers lawns and shady trees, and is enriched by a children's playground and winter games.

The park closed on October 13 but reopened in March, and beavers can still be seen along the Columbia River in the spring, summer and winter months.

The average annual rainfall is 15 inches, with up to 10 inches of snowfall, and brown rock beetles are broken up by extensive lawns and shady trees.

Lincoln Rock was named after the distinctive geological feature that is seen in the photo and resembles the profile of Abraham Lincoln. The photo was taken by Billy Schaft and Ed Ferguson, named after the rock eruption, and Ferguson commented on how much it resembled him. Lincoln Rock was named in honor of Lincoln, the President of the United States of America, for its characteristic geological features.

The image was submitted for a photo competition in a prestigious magazine, where it won first prize.

The name "Lincoln Rock" was officially accepted as a milestone in the magazine's nationwide circulation. Lincoln Rock State Park was acquired by the state on April 1, 1980, with a grant of $1.5 million from the U.S. Department of State.

Services are available at Lincoln Rock State Park Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays and weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There are 32 fully-fledged utilities, 35 have electricity and water, and 35 do not. The park has more than 1,000 pitches with a total area of 2,500 square meters.

The maximum length of a campsite is 65 feet, possibly due to limited availability, and all tents must be pitched as specified in the tent document. The lawn, including the tent pad, is watered daily, but the lawn itself is not.

Check-in is 14: 30, check-out is 13: 00, and quiet times are 22 - 00 and 06 - 30. When you book a campsite, you can stay as long as you like, but the length of stay is extended. A motor-powered electric generator can operate up to 12 hours a day, seven days a week, at a cost of $5 an hour.

The jetty is open all year round and is open at weekends from 10 am to 5 pm, weekdays from 11 am to 6 pm and at night from 12 am to 4 pm.

The lake at Entiat is 31 miles long and you can buy a jetty in the park for $5 per boat or $10 per overturned trailer. Annual passes can be purchased at the park when staff is available, or you can purchase an annual pass if you have visited the park or are camping in Lincoln Rock State Park in the summer.

The 650 foot berth at Lake Entiat includes a swimming tank that can swim up to 1,000 feet above sea level for a fee of $5 per day or $10 per week. Swimming pools are available from May 15 to September 15 and will initially serve for the rest of the year. Day and annual tickets are available at the park for $15 per boat and $20 per trailer per month. Berths are charged for docks, floats and buoys, as well as the cost of parking and parking fees.

The park offers two different accommodation options for campers and guests: one accommodation has a capacity of 100 and the other 150 guests. You can book the two accommodations by calling 888 - campout-888-226 - 7688 or by e-mail campouts @ lincoln - rock - state - park.com. The sink must be washed out and rinsed in the sink at least 24 hours a day, seven days a week and for at least two weeks.

A large sunbathing lawn invites you to various team sports, and a playground is available for children as well as adults and adults with children up to 12 years.

The hotel is located on the west side of the park at the intersection of East Wenatchee Street and South Main Street. Take SR-5 onto the southern lane of Interstate 5, take it north and the sign will point you to a park entrance on the left.
