About Pearrygin Lake State Park

Pearrygin Lake State Park is a great place for a day trip to one of the state's most popular parks. The lake offers swimming, fishing and boating, and the park has extensive green lawns leading to the lake, as well as a variety of picnic areas, picnic tables, a playground and a picnic area.

Summer temperatures are in the 80s and 90s, and old willow and ash trees provide shade on hot summer days. Winter temperatures are well below zero, but the lake and lake park offer great views of the Mississippi and the riverbank, as well as the old trees - which grow.

The Pleistocene glaciation formed a small valley that holds the lake in this area, and water flows from the surrounding mountains into the basin of Pearrygin Lake. The average annual rainfall of 11 inches is about twice the average annual snowfall of 6 inches. In spring and summer, the water of Pearygin Lake flows into the lake an average of 2.5 inches per year, and in summer it flows 4.7 inches.

The park was opened in 1964 as a recreational area within a national park and 94 hectares were added to the park. In 1972 the campground was renovated and rebuilt, with a new campground, picnic area, picnic areas and a campfire. Two cabins are available from April 25 to October 29 and three cabins from October 30 to December 31.

Each cabin sleeps four and is equipped with a stove, sink with hot water, shower, toilet, stove and sink.

Choosing a premium campsite in the park may involve an additional $1 per night, which is added to the fee for the heavily used park below. Please note that the following general fees and information do not apply to all parks and not to all parks. Thus, the fees for primitive campsites and landfills are only applicable to parks that have them.

Primitive campsites and landfill sites in Pearryin Lake State Park charge between $1 per night and $3 per day.

Check-in is 14: 30, check-out is 13: 00, and quiet hours are 22: 00 - 06: 30, but the length of your stay can be extended if you can stay in the park for ten consecutive days in summer. Additional vehicles must be parked on a designated campsite with an additional parking space. If you are camping, this fee is included in your camping fee, and if a second vehicle is towed by a recreational vehicle, you will be charged $10 per night.

All utilities have electricity, water and sewage, but the park needs to be managed and the utility has no electricity, water or sewage.

The maximum length of a pitch is 60 feet, possibly due to limited availability, but please book your campsite. Information about group camps is available on the phone number 509 - 996 - 2370 or book your campsite online at www.

The park has a boat ramp with a 60-foot jetty, and boats can depart at any time of the day or night, depending on snow and ice conditions on the lake.

Day tickets are available for $5, and annual tickets can be purchased at the park office when staff is available. July and August are open daily from 9 am to 6 pm, July to August from 10 am to 7 pm and from 8 pm to 9 pm.

East Campgroun has 30 unprotected picnic tables and there is an overflow leading to the boat launch site. During the day there is no parking at the East Camp and only one on the west side of the campsite.

Near the bathhouse there is a wheelchair accessible picnic area and first-class picnic areas.
SR-20 is closed during the season due to dangerous snow conditions, but is located on the west side of the park, south of Pemberton Lake Road and SR-21.

Follow the paved road to the picnic area in the park, turn right into the campsite and follow the main road. Turn right onto Bear Creek Rd and drive one - and - one - half mile north until the road turns into East Chewuch Rd. Continue on the SR20 to South Winthrop, stop at the intersection and continue to your campsites. From the picnic area follow the paved roads through the parks and turn left onto the streets and right onto the RV park.

Turn left onto the cascading North Highway and turn right onto Bear Creek Rd and drive one - and - one - half mile north until the road turns into South Winthrop Rd.
