It is a national pine forest and was purchased in 1936 by the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S.

Department of Agriculture (USDA). The forest administration has envisaged several uses of forest resources as an approach to ecosystem management, including timber harvesting, logging, mining and wood processing. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) of the State of New York has been appointed Head of Management of the Pine Log State Forest.

Several natural communities within the forest are planted with a variety of tree species, such as pines, elms, birches, pines, oaks, cedars, oaks, pineapples and other species.

These include the Titus swamps, the pine trunk forest and a number of other natural communities within the forest, as well as a variety of wildlife.

The Florida National Scenic Trail leads from the forest in the northwest corner of the grounds to the campground. A 14 km trail has been developed through the State Forest of Pine Log, which includes some of Florida's most scenic and scenic trails, as well as a variety of animal species. The state's pine forest has had its share of natural disasters over the years, including hurricanes, floods and hurricanes.

The road leads eastward on private land to the S.R. 77, then crosses the S-R. 79 at Pine Log Creek and continues through the forest, with the village located to the east.

The Florida National Scenic Trail runs 8 miles through the Pine Log State Forest and is set in an orange rectangle. On the Florida National Trail System, only foot traffic is allowed, and only on private property.

The Dutch Tieman Trail is about 4 km long and is marked with a blue flame, and the trail is accessible only on foot or by bike on private land.

Cyclists should be careful when approaching walkers, but the versatile trail is open to walkers and road bikers, and cyclists are encouraged to cycle.

Crooked Creek Trail is a multi-purpose trail that was created on the east side of Highway 79. The campsite circuit is a circular route (2 km) and marked in red, and only foot traffic is allowed on the circular route. This trail leads from the motorhome to a cypress pond and then back to the trail at the end of the tour.

Parking is available at the parking lot on the east side of Highway 79, a little east of Crooked Creek Trail and west of Crooke Creek.

The Alte Sägemühle-Weg was developed as a horse trail and is designed for use by bike, but all hikes are welcome. This 12.5-kilometer loop leads from the existing open road to the Trailhead on the east side of Highway 79 west of Crooke Creek.

There is a $1 fee per person to participate in the course, but children under 6 years of age are free.

The Old Sawmill Trailhead parking lot is located on the east side of Highway 79 west of Crooke Creek, south of Old Sawmill. This trail leads through the forest, with some short, steep climbs and descents and a variety of waterfalls and streams.

A self-service checkout is located at the entrance of the trail, and kilometre markings are displayed along the trail and marked on the map. The path is marked by yellow ribbons in the trees above it and yellow arrows indicate the direction the path is heading, except where it crosses the road or makes major changes along the way. Mileage markings were placed on each of the paths and marked with maps.

A separate path for horses and mountain bikers has been developed, and horses should be kept away from the path. The trail crosses the Crooked Creek Mountain Velo Trail in several places and is marked with a sign indicating the exact direction at the information kiosk. A separate section of the state forest trail Kiefernholz is also signposted to the right - south of a small parking lot.

The Pine Log State Forest is located in the Pine Log National Forest, just north of the city of Pine Wood, New York. The forest is also located on the east side of Lake Michigan, about 800 meters from the city of St. Louis.

The access to the state forest is via the main road 79 with open forest paths, and the entire forest allows open forests and paths. Please avoid road closures around fire areas as these can cause serious damage to your vehicle and property.
