About Fall River State Park

Outdoor enthusiasts who travel off the beaten track will find plenty to do at this park in southeastern Greenwood County. The 980-hectare park is home to wooded floodplains, blackjack savannahs, wildflowers and a variety of wildlife. FallRiver State Park is located on the banks of the Fall River, a tributary of the Mississippi River in South Carolina and is home to a remarkable variety of plants and animals.

The campsites are equipped with modern toilets and showers, and 45 electricity and water connections are available in over 100 primitive campsites. Popular activities on the Fall River include hiking, camping, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, kayaking, rafting and fishing.

A popular pastime here is canoeing on the Fall River, which runs through State Park on its way to the estuary in New York City. The new playground swing in Falls River State Park on the east side of the park, right off Route 1.

Birdwatchers, photographers and naturalists will enjoy a variety of native plants and animals, and birdwatching is conducted under the auspices of the New York State Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (NYSDEP). The widespread bee is as widespread in the park as a number of other species, such as the Great Blue Heron.

Fall River offers excellent whitefish breeding grounds and excellent fishing opportunities, as well as a variety of other fish and amphibians, such as blue fish.

There are many entrances for canoeing and canoe rental is available in nearby Eureka. Canoeing on Falls River's Otter Creek and camping in designated areas of the park is a popular activity for Falls River visitors. There are numerous campsites in State Park and several other parks in California and Oregon.

Visitors should be aware of the protected areas and ensure that vehicle traffic is restricted to roads and parking lots. Some parts of the wildlife areas will be closed to the public and protected as nature reserves. A waste policy that is not allowed means that visitors must bring their own food, water, clothing and other personal items when they are taken to a wildlife area.

If you're looking for a relaxed place to connect your camper or van, Fall River State Park has a number of developed campsites for you. Some of the most extraordinary landscapes are to be found throughout the park, such as the picturesque waterfall, the river and the waterfall in the forest.
