The park features ancient forest, a remote campsite with breathtaking views of Puget Sound, the Pacific Ocean and a variety of wildlife habitats. The park offers a unique outdoor experience in the heart of South Whidbey Island State Park, just a short drive from downtown Seattle.

On June 10, 1792, Captain George Vancouver named Whidbey Island after Master Joseph Whidsbey. The park was officially designated in October 1974 by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the Washington Department of Natural Resources.

Most other services are within a few kilometers of the park, but firewood and books about nature are sold. The park has a number of picnic areas, a picnic area and a water fountain, as well as a path system.

The maximum length of each site is about 50 feet, possibly due to limited availability, and the maximum width of the park is limited to 30 feet.

The park is closed in December and January, but the campsites are served every two months when the park is open. The park offers group camps for up to 100 people, and in the summer months July, August, September, October, November, December, February, March, April and May, camp sites are offered.

Water and vaulted cabins are available, and a full service toilet is located 100 meters away, as well as access to the beach, water, showers and toilets.

Fees vary depending on the size of the group, with a maximum fee of $5 for adults and $3 for children under 18.

You can reserve a kitchen block or make a reservation and extend the length of stay by staying in one of the many cabins in the park, such as the one on the north side of South Whidbey Island.

Check-in is at 13: 00, check-out is at 14: 30, and quiet times are 22 - 00 and 06 - 30. A motor-powered electric generator works during the day and at night, as long as you have behaved in and around the park.

Younger visitors are encouraged to become junior rangers, and there is a junior ranger training center in the park. The price includes four picnic tables for up to 30 guests, a picnic table and a picnic area for children and adults.
