About Huntington Beach State Park

Huntington Beach offers visitors some of the best preserved beaches on Grand Strand and is home to one of South Carolina's most popular tourist attractions, Huntington Beach State Park. The park, which is widely recognised as a bird watching area, also offers access to a variety of hiking, cycling, camping, fishing and hiking trails, as well as scenic views.

Huntington Beach is also the site of a historic landmark, the Atalaya, located at the corner of Main Street and Main Avenue in Huntington Beach, South Carolina. American sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington, known for her work on Grand Strand in the 1920s and 1930s, was also a member of the National Register of Historic Places, a list of buildings listed by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The couple's winter home was modeled after the home of George Washington and his wife, Queen Elizabeth II, in Washington, D.C.

The centre is located on the marsh promenade and is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm. For information on the program, contact the center at 843 - 235 - 8755 or visit the park's website.
